Only to those that lived in that era. I was 13 when the '87 5.0 came out. It redefined the muscle cars of that time. I've owned two a '92 LX 5.0 vert and now a '88 notch. The '92 was a daily driver so not a lot was done to it; 3.55, headers, o/r x-pipe. Now the '88 has about everything done to it that can because it's not a daily driver by any means. I love getting it sideways when shifting into 4th. Also the sound of a v-8 at 7000 rpms will raise the hairs on your neck.Where is the fuel filter located on a 1967 ford mustang couple v8?

NOT ONLY IS IT A COOL CAR, THE LX 5.0 COUPE WAS THE FASTED MUSTANG OF THE TIME. IT WAS LIGHTER THAN THE GT AND CONV.Very cool. I owned an 88 LX 5.0 dark blue notchback in Upstate NY and I remember everyone thinking I was a cop after I bought it. That was one heckuva quick car for the money. It had a light blue interior a sunroof and boy was that car alot of fun... I smoked the Goodyear GAtorbacks off of that car in the first summer I owned it.

Personally that body style looks like a ford tempo they are really ugly not like a mustang at all. I have a 96' and i love it. I would recommend a 94 to a 98 or a newer one but that particular body style is just ugly.More Questions & Answers ...
