Timeing belts can last for Years!! It is very rare that your 1999 car would need it replaced. I have a 1990 Toyota, (200.000 miles) and timeing belt is just fine.
Do you have a problem with your car? and why do you think it may be your timeing belt?

Has anybody heard about the ferrari crash? If so do you know what kind of ferrari it was?

Check for crack and the edges will start to show wear. Your manual will give your a guideline on how many miles to take into consideration. After you reach this keep an eye. Have your spare already bought that way you can probably get it at a better price.

My mustang squeaks when i start it sometimes?

I have always changed the belts every 4 year period, if you are in doubt change it now, a broken belt could cause very serious damage to the engine and give you a very costly repair job.

Please help! My 99 Dodge Neon ran hot, made a loud sound, coolant leaked out, water pump rattles so loud...?

your best having it checked at every service and if it looks worn have it replaced. never take the chance if it snaps its an interference engine and it will bend some valves.

Where is the fuse that controls the radio, on-board clock, and side mirrors on a 1998 Toyota Corolla?

Usually 60,000 miles. They will USUALLY last quite a bit longer, but it's a risk. At best you're risking sitting on the side of the road in a car that was running just fine a minute ago, but now it won't start. At worst, some engines will bend valves and/or damage pistons if the belt breaks.

I was wondering why the Smart Car wasnt as successful as it is now? Why was it kinda failure in the beginning?

Is it worth the risk to save some money now?
