Question:
I was trying to remove my 01 focus from a parking space surrounded by snow. Dug out some but not enough as it was frozen solid. When i was backing out, the car got stuck on the snow, suspended by a snow mound (in the center of the car). The car cut out and won't start now? any Ideas?

What is the bolt pattern of the rims on a 2003 chevy z-71?
First reset your safety fuel cut-off switch in the trunk (probably behind the carpeting panel on the left side). If the car got bumped hard enough it could have actuated the switch. If the engine won't crank at all, make sure the battery and battery cable connections are good, and if so, it's possible the wire leading to your starter solenoid got pulled off the starter motor which is located way under the car's engine. You could jack up one wheel to allow you to gradually chip the snow mound away, but the car could fall on you easily in such circumstances so you might want to wait for the snow to melt enough.Just how hard did you hit the frozen snow mound with the underside of the car? If you really floored it out of being stuck, anything is possible.

There is also an inertia switch that shuts off the fuel. It is on the passenger side kick panel (under the dash, on the right side of the car, passenger side, behind the plastic) Try to reset this switch and see if it works. I spun my Focus one night and had to reset this switch.
