What are your experiances with the 1996 Nissan Altima STE?

I think it's an STE or GTE or something like that but I know for sure the year,make,and model are correct just not the last 3 letters. I'm thinking of buying one and would like all the help I can get with some background on these vehicles.

Decent cars, they have numerous cosmetic issues, peeling apaint esp on bumber covers, dash peels up and defrost vents pop out, they also have a big problem with front main seal oil leaks. As I said, decent car, definately better than equivalent US domestics.

I think you mean GXE.. They are great little cars until they get over 10 years old and have 150,000 miles or so on them.
