Question:
I'm doing a ground up 74 corvette project and was just doing the rear suspension, and the distance between where the trailing arm and the leaf spring join seems too far to me. we hooked it up, so it does attach, but the control arm forms an angle with the leaf spring, as opposed to being parallel to it. I just need to know if its normal to fight to get the leaf spring attached to the trailing arm, and for the control arm to not be parallel to the leaf spring.

what makes a transmission on toyota supra shift gears?
I'm not sure I totally understand the question, but with all leaf spring applications, it is a pain to get them back in the mounts. This is due in part to there is some pressure on them even before they are in place, and must be jacked around to get them to align. So yes! They are a pain, but this is quite normal.A good way to approach this is to attach everything else, and then put the springs in. You will have to jack between the rear end and the body or from the floor to the rear end until it aligns.
Glad to help you. Good Luck!
