Question:
I'm thinking about buying an 02 and was wondering if they are known to have any common problems. Also, if anyone happens to know how many miles you can get out of one before the engine starts going bad (e.g. I was once told that Pontiacs begin having serious issues after 130k miles) that would be very helpful.

Is it a coupe (2 door) or sedan (4 door) these are two different cars, the coupe is built on a Mitsubishi eclipse chassis and drive train while the sedans are all Chrysler. Both are good, but if you have a choice go with the coupe. Good luck!!51 reg Ford Transit van. mechanical question?
Chrysler is a good vehicale as too the amount of miles you will get outta a sebring depends on the engine type. My advice if its a used or even none used car would be to ask the car company about an extended bumper to bumper warrenty. Just talior the warrenty to the length of time you expect to have the car and if buying it from a car company most of em have deals with extended warrenty companies and can add it right to the principal of your loan. I bought one on my car to override the factory one and about 20K miles after my warrenty would have expired had a problem with my window. Most cars now a days though you can expect around 100k miles with no problems at all about that time the electrical becomes an issue. If its a v6 should expect to at least get 200k miles with proper maintence before you have anything serious to replace not do to normal wear and tear less depending on your driving style.Im thinking on getting a 1995 GMC Jimmy, very sharp, 20 inch chrome wheels,?
They are not good cars. Even Dalmer is thinking of selling off the company. But more to the point It is used and you take a big chance on a used car. You need to look at a lot, fit and finish..know the body is straight and no dings... get a mechanic to test the engine compression to make sure it's ok and then yo have to know the history..is is a trade, a repo...avoid it, a rebuilt wreck and require a carfax report.but a used car is a shot in the dark unless there is a great warranty..get a hondaToyota directly from port/ How long?
Remember; No matter what car you buy .. What you are really buying is miles.. The fewer the car has when you buy it, the more there are for you... generally speaking Toyotas and Hondas go longer and that is why you pay more for a used one.. any Chrysler, Ford, Gm product will all do OK if fairly new and properly cared for.. Buy the car in the best condition with the lowest miles that has the lowest price.. and be sure that it does not have a "Salvage Title".. Meaning that it was totally wrecked and rebuilt. Good luck. The cost of new Dodge Challenger?
junk.especially if it has a 2.7 under the hoodWhen I trun on my CD player in my Mercedes S500, I get a message that the magazine is empty.?
first when you say sebring you have to specify hard top or convertible because they are very different the hard top is the sister of the Mitsubishi eclipse and the convertible is a pure Chrysler .. the hard top is cool Ive seen issues with misfire codes (service engine soon light} due to Chrysler put champion plugs in from the factory when the car has a Mitsubishi engine and they don't champion plugs they like ngk plugs as all jap cars do.. also they have some sunroof issues, other than that nothing major as for the convertible i could type all day i will just some it up as junk with shinny wheels and rag top save your money ..Best first timer mods on my 03 passat 1.8t?
That year all engines are OK (if they where properly maintained) except the 2.7 liter. Stay away from this engine in this car!! The most common problem, and it usually occurs at around 100K miles, is the transmission and after that control arm bushings. As far as a "bumper to bumper" extended warranty, there is no such thing. I work for an Extended Warranty Company! ALL extended warranties on used cars only cover what is specifically listed for coverage minus any exclusions, NOT "bumper to bumper".

Will the wheels from a 1998 Jetta fit a 1999.5 (new body style)?
First off - nothing - and I mean NOTHING - will compare to having the car inspected by a qualified (AND TRUSTED) mechanic or shop... don't just jump into the car because it's cute or good looking or a deal or loaded or whatever.next - take a look at a source of information for the car - such as www.allpar.com. do some research on www.edmonds.com or at Yahoo autos or MSN autos or...

I have a 1991 Ford ranger and the transmission seems to be stuck in fifth gear?
Are there some bad Chrysler Sebrings out there (with and without the 2.7 litre engine mentioned in other posts)... sure... are there some good and great ones, too? You betcha! Just as there are some bad Hondas and Toyotas, too...
A lot of what it takes for a "used" car to make it in your life is how well (or not) the previous owner cared for the car. if the previous owner took great care - getting all the maintenance done and in a decent time, then you should be OK. if not, well then you could be in for some troubles later on.

My mom also has a 1994 Chrysler Town & Country - not AWD. she's got about 110K miles on it... has she had repairs..? yep. but it still starts, goes, stops, turns and all that without any problems.
It still all comes down to how the previous owner took care of the car.
