Any way of preventing piston failure in 2000 Saab 9-3?

Question:
Just purchased a Saab 9-3 convertible turbo with 43,000 miles on it and so far no problems. I know these cars tend to have a lot of problems, piston failure being one. Anyone know any way to prevent this or other common problems? Thanks

69, 66 or 67 Charger?

yes, you MUST use premium unleaded all the time. Change the oil every 2000 miles really helps to, unless you are on synthetic oil. then do it every 5000 and just spend that little bit extra and don't whine and your car will last a lot longer.

Bosch Platinum plugs every 50K miles wouldn't hurt either as turbo's are hard on plugs.

Do not continue driving with a "check engine light" this could lead to bad things until a competent mechanic can read the computer and see why the light is on.

Oil changes and tune ups and drive properly.
