You are right. The new Volvo S40 and Mazda 3 is the same car as the Ford Focus. the only good thing is that mazda still uses there own engine.
The Ford Fusion and Mazda 6 are the same.
Ford also owns Jaguar and they made a Jaguar that looks exactly like teh Aston Martin because they used the same designer.

Also, one minor note, Land Rover has used Ford engines since it was created. Ford of Europe and Rover (Land Rover's original creator/owner) shared parts until they separated in the late 1980s/early 1990s.

So, technically, the Range Rover always has been the Bronco, but I see no relation between the Discovery and the Bronco II (Discovery was V-8, large, 4-Door, luxurious, expensive, and built in England. Bronco II was I-4/V-6, small, 2-Door only, cheap to build, cheap to buy, and build in the United States and Japan in partnership with Mazda).

However, you're right about for ruining Jaguar, but Volvo and Aston Martin weren't such bad ideas. Ford only sold Aston Martin because it needed the money so badly. Aston Martin was the most successful of all the Premier Automotive Group brands (Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo).

well yes & no. ford has a major influnce on their forgin subsideraries; but they also glean some of their wisdom in improving their own stuff too.
i am by no means a Ford man, but they have improved the ford line with safety form Volvo, the bronco's & broncoll have improved from their landrover counterparts,
masda=ford in most aspects.
landrover is by no means a fault free auto maker, they carry over the poor repair history from before ford aquired them. & volvo has made innovative leaps foreward in safety but still remain riddeled with problems in functional design.
these aqusitions had so much potential to improve all involved, they just failed to capitolize.
thats why i have a toyota,
besides, i like to support america when i can, toyota is totally built by american hands, not in mexico or canada, or germany. it is just owned by the japanese. same with nissan too.

Land Rover has been bettered by being purchased by Ford in every aspect. Land Rover has ALWAYS been Powered by Ford. It is cheaper for them to ship all of the parts that are ALL 1,000,000,000% MADE IN JAPAN to these assembly plants in the USA where they employ a few thousand people, they're TOTAL American workforce is less than what either FORD or GM had to Lay off because people are buying import LOW QUALITY ****! While the entire build process might take place within the borders of the US most of it is done by robotic machines so PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR *** AND STOP BEING IGNORANT Toyotas are entirely MADE IN JAPAN/assembled in the US by JAPANESE made Robotic machines and by buying one you are only sending good honest hard working American dollars to japan with a SMALLLL percentage actually going back in American's Hands. The Import tariff's on ALL the parts is only about 1/10th of what it would be if those parts were assembled in Japan and sent over here, the ONLY reason they're assembly plants are here is because it is in their best financial interest, NOT because they actually car about giving Americans jobs
