Lots of people have. It's a fairly straight forward swap. You can buy complete kits to do just that, or you can piece the parts together from junkyard cars. Check Ebay for the parts also. Just make sure you get the TBI from a similar motor, like 305 or 350.Al ot of 4x4 guys switch over for the reliability of TBI and the fact that the car will run at severe angels. TBI will be an improvement or a carb in MPG, reliable starting and longer engine life due.
Keep in mind TBI is not as good as a port injection. TBI also has gotten a bad rap, since the first units were not the best running set ups. But a lot has changed in the ECM tuning capabilities of TBI computers. I've seen built to the hilt 383 stroker motors running beautifully with TBI set ups.

Don't wast your time with TBI (throttle body injection). If you're going to make a change to fuel injection go with a sequential fuel injection system. There are many aftermarket applications for small block chevys. check out Edelbrock for starters.Sell it and update to a 2000 model car.You will actually save time and money.
