I had a couple camaros, they are not built solid at all. 2 of my freinds have mustangs, one the cobra, the other the new one with 500 HP, they seem to be better built and more stable on the road. Its your choice, I would take a mustang over a camaro any day.

The Iroc camaro, Trans Am GTA and of course the mustang boss were one of the fastest cars around during that time. The Camaro will give you faster times than a 03 Mustang but dang ask yourself the question how many do you still see on the road? Also you want to look at durability to keep yourself from going into your pocket book for maintenance. I like the Camaro I can remember as a kid one guy had a maroon and gold one, man this car was hotter than a Vette.

go with the iroc all the way man! i have an 86 trans am and love it! i've owned an 89 camaro and curently have a 91 camaro. my dad has a 92 z-28 and has also owned at least 3 other 3rd gen fbodies. we love them! camaro's are sweet to the bone. of course if you want a chick car-take your mustang. your choice.

Personally, I'd go with a Camaro over a Mustang, but I'm biased (I own a '94 Z and a '99 Z). If you are looking for a new engine for that IROC and want 400 hp, look into an LS1 crate engine. It is a very stout engine (305 hp stock, on average) and has a very large aftermarket selection. Getting to 400 hp shouldn't be too difficult when starting with the LS1.
