Question:
I have a 350/290 HP GM Crate engine, I have 700R4 Automatic Overdrive Tranny and 3.08gear ratio in the rear and is 2 wheel drive 1983 Silverado. I just cannot seem to find anyone with such a combo and am really curious how many Miles per gallon I would get, because I don't have it running yet and will try to prepare for the impact on gas money because I took out my 305 for this 350/290HP engine

Which cams would be best for my ls/vtec?
I own a 74 C-10 with a 350 (built) and a 700R4 tranny. I own a shop, and did all the work myself. You will be surprised at how well it will do. Mine on the highway gets about 20, and around town about 16 mpg. This is with about a 800 cfm. carburetor. The key here will be what carburetor you put on the engine, and how well the exhaust system lets the engine breathe. I have headers, straight through mufflers, and 3 inch exhaust pipes out the back. As long as you keep your foot out of the gas pedal, and drive it normal, you should do really good. By the way, I'm running a 3.73:1 rear end too.Glad to help out, Good Luck!
Is this a good idea? seen it on other 2000 model corvettes?
14mpgI need to know the proper procedure for putting an 86 ford F250 into Four wheel drive?
I don't really know but my guess would be somwhere around 10-16 mpg but then again i could be totaly wrong.4 small gauges not working? 86 chevy truck?
I have an 84 Suburban with the same tranny (I'm pretty sure its the same one), but I have the 6.2 Diesel, and when I drive crosss country I get about 18 - 22 mpg, but yours maybe slightly different. My guess (and I stress guess) would be 13 - 16 MPG. but thats very dependant on how well it is taken care of, preventitive maint. and such. Take good care of her, and she'll do you good.I'm trying to figure out if the bezels around the A/C vents in my '03 Passat should light up red?
