I'm not sure, but every Subaru I've scene pumps from the same one as the front, under the hood.
If you aren't getting fluid it's probably the rear pump.

I'm not sure if the Forester is the same, but I drive a '96 Legacy, and there's a single reservoir at the front. The fluid for the front and rear is drawn from a different height, so the rear washer fluid will stop functioning before the front. It's a way of indicating that the reservoir is low.
