Question:
I had car in for service 2 months ago when Check Engine lite was on, service said the thermostat was sticking. Since then no trouble until today, Check Engine lite back on and now HOLD lite blinking. What is the HOLD lite for and is this a major problem?
Answers:
It is used when climbing hills and the car starts to decelerate... If you are in 3rd gear drive (automatic) and you press hold... you will stay in 3rd gear till you press hold again.
Where is my intake air tempurature sensor located on my 2003 bmw 330ci?
To stop the Hold light from being on, press the hold button. It is in your center console. Either you are hitting it and not knowing it or something may be hitting it that you have stuck in the console.. soda can? etc.
Where Can I get detailed specifications about 6 to 8 cylinder engine swaps in 1966-67 Fairlanes?
If the hold button was pressed when you were in a low gear, you may still be in low gear...on the freeway... and that is why your check engine light is on. You are frying your engine.

Why isn't the Lancer Evolution sold in Canada?
I have no idea, but the mechanic at the GM dealer can tell you I'm sure. They can probably also order an owners manual for you if you really want one.I think if you push the hold button again, it should turn the light off. I pushed it on minds and it did turn on, also it made a weird noise. The hold button, from my knowledge, is to change the transmission from automatic to manual.

What size speakers usually fit in a Jeep Wrangler sound bar?
This smart little feature is integrated into the available four-speed automatic transmission. It helps reduce wheel spin and loss of traction when traveling on slick roads by allowing you to select a higher gear to reduce torque. You can also use it to help you maximize control on hilly or twisting roads by remaining in a lower gear.

My wheel fell off my 07 aveo and the dealer says chevy won't pay. Thoughts?
Press the HOLD button.
The transmission becomes a three-speed manual and will stay in the gear that has been selected.
The HOLD light illuminates on the instrument panel.
The maximum speed for each shift lever position will be achieved when the engine redlines. The transmission will not upshift.
Press the HOLD button again to return to the automatic transmission.
