you can hard wire the fan. The old days the fan would always run now it just kicks in when the engine gets hot. Find the wires from the fan and run them to a fuse that will shut off when the engine is off. the radio or a temp and gas gauge. when you say fan you mean heater blower motor? or cooling fan? more then likely its your blower motor but check your fuse then check for power to blower motor also verify coolant level is good also check your blower motor relay.
