Does your Audi have the battery under the rear passenger seat?

Question:
We have an Audi A6 and we had problems with the car battery shorting on the metal work of the seat - has anyone else had this problem? If you do have a battery under the seat is there a protective panel to stop contact of the seat and battery and if so what model of car do you have?

I have an Audi A6, 1996 just discovered the battery was dead, and yes it is under the back seat. I never before had the battery die. The battery is not touching anything metal on the seat.
I need to know what to do after jump starting it. Is it true you have to take it in to reset the computer at the dealer. Can I reset it myself? Oh I just realized this isn't questions here you just wanted answers. Sorry
