The best way to know is to call a parts store, or go to their web site, and look up a thermostat for your vehicle. That will tell you right away what it takes. Most of them takes a 190, or 195 degree thermostat. Most all the newer vehicles run hotter than the old ones due to emission demands. Not many if any newer vehicles beyond a 96 has anything lower than a 190 degree. This I am sure of.

i think its 210 or 220 if the thermo is stuck it will either over heat or never reach the 210 mark. ie: stuck open or stuck closed

180-195 is the normal running temp for that year 5.3 v8. About 1 line below 210.

go to your local auto parts store and ask for a replacement thermostat when they find it they will ask you what temperature thermostat you want. The hottest one will be the normal running temperature for your trucks engine.
