theyve been around forever and are large luxury cars, similar to the rolls royces (also british cars). The idealogical difference between the RR and bentley is that you drive a bentley, you get driven in a RR.

Bentley and RR were like the Chev and Buick of ultra luxury cars at one time. I like the comment "You drive a Bentley, you get driven in a Rolls", very appropriate.
