I've been reading about a lot of owners who are unhappy with the quality of their new Camry. That, in combination with the engine sludge and faulty steering issues for Toyota, shoots holes in the quality mystique Toyota has worked so hard to build.
Camry of Course if you are looking for a sober look. For a more sportier look inside out Altma
Personally I would go with the Camry, I have owned a number of Toyotas and they have all served me well, even past the 200,000 mile mark.
The styling of the Altima is more exciting but my sister had a 2002 Nissan, her second one and said it spent a good deal of time in the shop, and she decided to go to Honda,(also an excellent car).

Camry was motor trends car of the year. You will probably get the best fuel economy from the camary, but the Altima is a sharp car. You really need to drive them both and decide what you want out of the car you buy. See which gives you the best deal for options to.More Questions & Answers ...
