Jeep Transfer Case Swap?

Question:
I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the NP249 case, and I'm planning to swap it out for a 242 from a 96 Grand Cherokee. Same engine and transmission in both, just wondering if anyone had done this and what potential problem I might encounter. Would appreciate any help you could give.
