If i would pick one of the two, i'd say the RSX just because they're newer, and will generally have less miles on them, and because its your first car, you'd want to drive it, not have it in the shop being fixed all the time. So if money wasn't an issue RSX is the way to go... I am unsure if you can afford either...

Well you probably can't afford any Acura RSX since they haven't been out that long and a 97 eclipse is a 2G which includes eclipses from years 1995 and 1999.
