I read over the answers and I was so surprised no one said to convert the system to standard springs. I would not spend the money on a 1991 car to have the air suspension system fixed unless it was a really low mileage all original car. There are kits that a mechanic can install which would replace all the air suspension components with conventional coil springs and you won't have to be bothered again.How much time and money will it cost for the 90k checkup on my civic?

Actually if you do anything to it the warranty will not be accepted so take it to a place where they do thatThat is computer controlled. There is an air compressor that does it. You have an actuator that is not working and/or a computer problem. Got to a reputable mechanic that can do computer read outs or go to a dealer.
I am going to assume that the pump doesn't work.
If it is automatic level ride then the pump should kick on by itself, check for blown fuse in your fuse cluster.
If it has aftermarket airbags look under the rear bumper for a air valve to put air in it. It would be just like the kind you put air in a tire with.
SInce your car is a 1991, I would crawl under it and check the hoses. There is a compressor that automatically load levels the car and possible a sensor is out. I am sure any shade tree mechanic can cut the hose and splice on a valve so you can fill them. You can also take it to a tire shop or a muffler shop cause they do suspensions also, and you can probly get it checked for free. If you decide to take it in to adealer, carry a pocket full of $$$$$$, cause I am sure that will not be cheap!

maintains the rear vehicle height at a constant level
by automatically adding air or releasing air from the
rear air springs to offset changes in vehicle loads.
A shutoff switch is located in the trunk on the right
hand vertical trim panel. If this switch is in the

hoisting, towing or jacking up the vehicle. “CHECK
