Is a automatic transmission from a 2007 Ford Focus interchangeable with earlier Focuses?

Question:
the one I want to replace has traction control.

Answers:

Can girls drive a BMW or are they only for guys?

The automatic transmission used in the Focus (American Versions) was the F427E tranny, for all DOHC motors including the Zetec. The transmission is the same in the 2007's. If the car is 4 Speed Automatic with O/D, traction control was nothing more than an option on the vehicle, the tranny's were the same whether the car had traction control or not. Hope this helps you.
