mainly ford noticed the confusion of it's dealers as well as the general public in naming everything starting with F which make for a confusing time for a buyer... Personally I think the whole Ford idea is horrible. Coming back with the Taurus I think would mean building something new, and not just sticking the Taurus name on a Five Hundred and calling it a new car. The same applies to the Taurus X. It should be a new car not a Freestyle with the name Taurus X on it. I owned a Taurus, and it was a piece of junk. I had so many problem with it. I got stuck 3 times, and I had constant trouble with the brakes. I would just hope that the Five Hundred, or should I say Taurus (because they are exactly identical) is better than the one I had. This is why Ford can't survive. They don't improve on their designs. Also I had a 1989 Thunderbird. The headliner fell, the driver seat ripped, and the bottom of the doors rusted. I bought a 1993 Thunderbird, and the same things happened to that car. So all I can say is that I hope Ford improves on their designs because I think it would be a shame to see them go out of business just because they can't be original. However, I love my Thunderbirds, and I just bought a 2006 Mustang, and I can say that it is incredible fun to drive, and I get complements about it wherever I go!More Questions & Answers ...
