Actuate the switch by hand and see if the lights work then. Make sure that the shifter is actually actuating the switch and the switch is plugged into the harness. Clean the sockets, check that they have a good ground connection.

i own a repair shop ,and all you need is a new reverse light switch on it,those things burn out once in a while ,but when you go to the parts store just tell them you need a reverse light switch for that make and model and they,ll know what to give you,good luck i hope this helps.
