I think you mean just the turbo and not the whole engine.Yes it would go in it is a bit big for the 24e engine but wont hurt

Yes. The engine bay of the 240sx has ample room for that. You will however need to plan the layout of your bay for the turbo, hard pipes, Intercooler pipes, and intercooler placement. You'll also need to fabricate new turbo manifolds, buy a new intake kit because that stock airbox is NOT going to fit with any turbo in that bay. You'll need newer high-volume fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and all the gauges to keep track of what's going on with your boosted engine. And you'll also need a boost controller, AFR meter and a reflashed ecu if you're going to boost. And a LOT of dyno time.

You could probably modify to make it work. I mean alot of changes. You will still risk blowin your engine if you over boost or get your fuel to air ratio messed up. A turbo will also cause some heat issues with your stock engine. I would look at some engine/tranny/computer swaps to save time and labor, possibly money. You will more than likely get more power from your car this way and alot of the Nissan parts are interchangeable for these cars with little modification. I believe they even sell engine swap kits for these cars. Like the motor mounts, stiffer springs, etc. I would even look on eBay to see if you can find a turbo Skyline engine setup from Japan. I have seen s13's with these engines in them.It isn't going to be too big for it. If anything it will be too small, just depends on how much power you are wantinig from it. The 300zx came with twin turbos, 2 small turbos to reduce turbo lag but maintain high output. If you choose to go with one of these turbos, you will need an exhaust manifold that will fit the ka24, and match up to the turbo flange on the other end. Also, you'd need to likely upgrade your fuel injectors, if you can get these from the zx, they would be great, and you will need a small intercooler. A side moount intercooler would be fine, also from a 300zx. You are going to probably spend more money having custom piping made for the intercooler, buying a decent exhaust manifold, and having the turbo installed if you can't yourself, than the parts will cost. But 240sx are very fun cars to drive, especially if you get them up over 200 horse power at the wheels. I think with that setup and 6 or 7 psi, with cat back exhaust, and a healthy motor, you'd be pretty close.
You can use any turbo you want, but you'll have to have a custom exhaust manifold fabricated for it. Unless there's an aftermarket set of Manifolds I don't know about. I reccomend reading the book Turbochargers, by Hugh MacInnes, before you just slap something in there though.
yes just get the t-25 turbo manifold that fits your engine should be a t-3 turbo flange and then the other turbo parts, intake, exhaust, the intercooler, fuel pump, and injectors you can get from the 300zx also. you will need to get some type of fuel and timing management. it's the same turbo as the SR20 redtop engines got, some of the turbo specs maybe different like trim and AR.
