why is a station wagon called a station wagon....?
The lower dot is the low mark and the upper dot is the full mark. Your level should be in between the two dots. Closer to the upper dot actually. You might have had some oil starvation at 180kmh. Maybe the quality of oil you used also. Might have become too thin at high speed. If you want to be going at those speeds use synthetic oils. They give better performance. Also make sure you dont have oil leaks. Take the car for service..do an oil flush and replace all filters. Also replace all gaskets if possible. Check the oil pump also if possible.has anyone changed a heater core in a 95 ford ranger p.u.?
Where was it at the dots? It is supposed to be at the higher dot. Complete information might really help!Could be a matter of alot of things wrong. It could be a malfunction in circuits, something wrong with the light, you could be low on oil or other things. First when was your last oil change? With that many miles your best and safest bet is just take it in and have them run a diagnostic on it, you don't want to be left high and dry, ya know? Don't chance it, when in doubt, get it checked out!
How expensive are volvo's to maintain?
If there is no oil on the dipstick, then yes, you should some more in, otherwise you'll fry your engine. Keep checking your dipstick after you pour in 1 litre of oil. You might need to add another 1 or 2 litres of oil if it does not show on the dipstick after the first litre. Next time, get into the habit of checking your oil when you fuel up & in between each fill up.Any Honda Civic Hybrid experts out there?
My 90 did the same thing when I was on a road trip, it was just low. My recommendation, change oil and filter. Use high grade oil, it will prolong the life of your car.I recommend the best oil, Castrol GTX (any kind will do, weight should be 10W30)/Syntec< this is a mixture with synthetic, it is very good for the engine!
While in my opinion and experience this is the best, but I'll let you be the judge of what to use, after all it is your car.
Try to avoid Valvoline, Havoline, Mobil, and Pennzoil, and other cheap oils. While, yes, they do lubricate ok, they still have a bad long term effect. Castrol can be used up to 5K before you even need to think about the oil change! This comes in VERY handy when you are over your 3K limit without knowledge, or when you ended up money shot, or just don't have the time. People will say oil is oil, but I would look at the vehicle THEY have, and how it runs before I listened to them. I have a 1990 Accord and it runs and pulls awesome! Other than the fact that it is a Honda, it has 228K miles, and I still have that get up and go, when I need it!
Do a little research on oil brands for yourself.
Good Luck!
Are Fords becoming the worst production cars ever?
I had the same problem. Yes, add some more oil, you may have a leak or it's time to flush the system. Fortunately i didn't have a leak and it cost me less to flush it. Good Luck!More Questions & Answers ...
