I own a grear rare 4 speed 3/4 ton sub. The I love this truck But the body is rusted out. I just got the chance to buy a 89 sub with a mint dry body. I want to swap bodys. I am good with cars but am i nuts to try to swap out a body on to my frame?. I am thinking to just un bolt and jack up on blocks and roll out the frame. and coments will help.

Suggestion : If you have two chain horses and something to support the middle of the body, you can chain horse the body up and roll the frame out. That's what my brother, a mechanic , done on his '67 Chevy truck.

Frame dimensions are helpful, and a necessity when considering possible custom body swaps. Also handy for dump beds, and tilt noses. The oval shaped holes in the chassis are gauge holes. Pins can be inserted, and then measurements can be taken from these pins to verify that a frame is not bent or twisted.
