Back of the motor meaning where it attaches to the Trans or the closes side to the fire wall. Big things that leak on those are the Valve cover and the Distributor O ring.
Easy to fix and not to expensive.

Honda civic 2007?

It's most likely the rear main seal! It can be very expensive to replace due to its location.

16 valve moters? geo ,storm and metro?

If, by the back, you mean the firewall side, it is probably the oil pressure switch. Toyota's have a real problem with these. You will find it within four inches of the oil filter. Peel back the rubber plug cover and check if there is any oil in it. Another common problem is the distributor seal. Run your fingers around the base of the distributor where it meets the engine and check for oil. If the "back" means between the engine and transmission, remove the tin plate covering the bottom of the transmission housing, just behind the engine's oil pan. Look inside for signs of oil. If it's dry, it's probably the oil pan gasket.
