What are the best Mods for a 1994 Mustang?
Depends what the codes are, P0301-P0306 are misefire codes, P0171/ P0174 are lean codes. Yes there are concerns with vacuum leaks/running lean on the 3.8. TSB 03-16-01. For the 2001, the pcm needs to be reprogramed, replace the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose, the gaskets between the upper and lower intake manifold, and the isolator bolts that hold the upper intake down. Cleaning the EGR ports out while the upper intake is off is a good idea also. If you have misfire codes it could be plugs, wire, injectors, or coil to name a few possibilities. any auto part store checks the check engine light for free. they will tell you whats wrong with it.take it to a garage and have them diagnosis the problem, true, parts stores do read codes, but a code is useless if you don't know how to diagnose the code. i work in a garage and i see all kinds of do it yourselfers butcher jobs, do the job right, pay a professional to diagnose and fix the problem.

check the pcv hose for leaksdoes a 1995 jeep have a code scanner?
In response to what was posted earlier, I have seen plenty of shops screw up jobs or do them incorrectly. I personally would rather pay a fraction of the cost and fix the car myself. As was posted, if the check engine light is on, auto zone will hook it up to the computer for free and tell you exactly what is wrong. See what the code reader says first and then go from there. When was the last time the O2 sensors were replaced? A vaccum leak is also a possibility. good luckMore Questions & Answers ...
