Question:
Hi! I have a stock 1993 Honda Civic EG hatch which I bought from Honda Philippines with PH12 (1200cc) engine. After using it for more than half an hour with the AC the idling dropped to almost zero. It stalls. I have to restart it. My AC is also stock SANDEN. But when I turn off the AC everything is fine. What is wrong? Is it the engine or the AC? I have this regularly tuned-up every 5,000 kms. Thank you in advance. Cheers.

I'm not sure what's causing it, but on my old car, it would bounce up and down while idling withOUT the AC on, so I would stick it in Neutral and the problem would stop. You should get it checked out though.
Actually, wheeler's recommdation is quite solid. That's what happened to me. My IAC was dirty and I had it cleaned. It workked well but after 2 years it came backed and this time when I replaced the IAC it never happened again.
there should be some type of solenoid on the carb that idles car up when you switch on a/c is the system overcharged that will cause compressor to have more drag be sure to check all fuses
