I've been looking at purchasing a 2006 X-Type, but I need more information, and was wondering if anyone could give me the specs on this car if you know about it or drive one yourself. Also, I'm a little concerned of what people might think if I drove one. I'm a girl who is 25 years-old, but I don't want to make people think I'm too flashy or anything. Is that what people get the impression of that car? I really like the style and sporty look of it, and also like the interior. I drive a benz right now, and I'm kinda used to getting looks, but I was wondering if Jaguar makes the same impression? I guess who cares what people think right? But I need some opinions, thanks!

Jags have more style than most Benzes. The X-Type is a little on the small side on the inside, but the interior is very elegant.I was looking for an exhaust system for my 2000 3.8 mustang under 95 dB.?
Jaguar's quality ratings are now higher than Mercedes, so buy in confidence. The quality issues are from Jags of the 60s and70s. The other poster is way out of date on this.

I would think a woman driving a Jag has taste, is elegant, not overly flashy.

They are both same category with mercedes but i would prefer jaguar at all times, girl driving a jag is cool. if u are used to drive long cars maybe you should consider buying an S-type which is a proper jag. I think they are very good cars.

I'll have to differ with the previous responses and say get another Benz or BMW...maybe even a Lexus. The X-Type isn't that great compared to the MB C Class or the 3 Series. And, as a brand, Jag has been better than Benz recently, but the X-Type isn't known for its reliability (I know...the C Class isn't either, but its value won't tank like the Jag and it'll probably last longer).Also, the Lexus IS or the Infiniti G35 are great cars and will be more reliable than the MB, BMW, or Jag. Drive them before you make your purchase!
well i guess im partial to the question i own one of the few x type r's in california and i love the ride, the look and the looks that i get from looky lews especially jag owners but to be honest the gas mileage does suck because they ( all x- types) are 4 wheel drive so it takes more power to pull/push the vehicle but then again if you can afford a jag you can afford to fill it up lol
