Answers:
The headlights are on all the time in the 2004 toyota corolla. How do you tun them off?
1st off, a cylider #5 misfire could be caused by only a couple of thingsa. a bad spark plu
b. bad plug wire
c. timing belt jumped time
and
d. something inside the engine having problems such as piston rings or valves(worst case senario)
AND yes you will have to make some repairs
2nd, the first thing you want to do is to have your car tuned up, plugs/wires/cap/ and rotor button. This should fix your problem as it does on 90% of all misfire codes. Make sure that you erase the codes and data after you write it down on paper and before you take it back to inspection.
3rd, also before you go back put a bottle of rubbing alcohol into your fuel tank and drive about 50 miles. This will do 2 things, take care of any water in your tank and boost your octane a little bit and the emissions test will think its good.
Good luck and hope this helps.

A Jeep question - we have a bikini top for a 1995 jeep wrangler...?
If still no change after replacing cables..pull the plug out...it should have a flaky brownish to greyish ash deposit.it if is glazed, then your 02 sensor(s) may be bad.and may be fouling the plugs.
If the plug looks bad, replace it..the engine should run better and smoother.
