It sounds like that could also possibly be the tire pressure indicator (another guess, having not personally seen the light). Take it back to the dealer and have whatever the light is resolved - it shouldn't cause you any problems, or cost you anything to have fixed. Also, tell your salesperson that there was no manual. The manual is something you are entitled to when you purchase the car, and any normal, non-shady dealer will have no problem providing you with one. It's a small cost that they'll have to eat, but it's a small price to pay, especially to keep a customer that can come back for future service and sales happy.I have a 1991 Ford ranger and the transmission seems to be stuck in fifth gear?
As a Toyota technician that is the tire pressure warning lamp. Make sure all of the tire pressures including the spare are at 30psi. Also be sure all 4 tires on the ground are the same size. With the vehicle running parked on level ground locate the "set" button down by your knees in the driver's seat. Press the button and hold it while watching the low tire lamp. Keep holding the button until that lamp flashes 3 times then stays off. Now the monitor has been "reset".It's time for maintenance. It's telling you to take it to the dealership to do maintenance like oil change, filter change, tire pressure check, transmission fluid check, head and tail light check. If you know all off the above are good, find your owners manual and reset the maintenance warning light.

It is probably the tire sensor lite. I remember being confused the first time I saw it on mine. It might be that they recently changed the tires or added air and it just needs to be reset. You can get manuals on line for how to reset it, I don't remember how we did it offhand.I would call the dealer, but don't worry, it's not a big deal at all.
