The drive train and engine are proven in other models, the transmission is too, so don't tell me its a new untried model. But does anyone have one or have driven one

Well I think it is the Liberty and the Wrangler that are more "supposedly" better off terrain. But then I would buy this one as it is like $7000 cheaper. And for most people they are rare are those that really use its off terrain capabilities like you see in the commercials too. So Personally, I think the Patriot is THE AWD SUV to be bought. But I will get the Patriot II though. If I can get another 10% from the VA to get 60%, I am trading my Chrysler Van in or keep it for going out and buy the patriot. Then Corpus Christi beach and Padre island watch out. lol
