Question:
i have a 98 civic dx auto and was planing to change out the engine to a b18b but the engine comes with a manual trans. could i change out the tranny to a auto without any problem like buy one for that engine?

You'd have to buy the ecu for a b18 w/ auto. The ecu for the manual doesn't have data for the auto tranny programmed into it.

good luck finding that... make sure that the engine is an obd-II especially if u have emissions laws in ur town..
