yes, the Z34 and the pontiac GTP had the 3.4 with dual overhead cams and then just recently they put a regular 3.4 in the grand am that doesn't have the overhead cams.

I don't recall seeing any 3.4 with a single cam for each bank. I do know there were two generations of the same motor, but they were just the same motors with improvements done.
