I've seen a 1974 Mustang II on sale for $3500, it has a 302 V8 which came from a 1985 Ford Mustang GT, Holley Carb, C4 transmission, K&N filter, flowmasters, it also has factory air conditioning and it has a new paint job and the car has around 325-350bhp, the car can run a quarter mile in the low 13's.
R there any go books for rebuilding a 68 mustang?
Is $3500 a good value for this car considering that it has a V8 engine and it's a very fast car?

I have owned three Mustang IIs, and have had fun with each one. The 74 never came with a V8, but can be retrofitted if the engine was equipped with the oil pan, oil pickup, and exhaust headers or manifolds from a 75-78 II. I would buy it as long as the interior isn't trashed out, and the body isn't full of rust. Ask the previous owner if there was any body repair, and do a thorough check of the fender wells to check for any repairs. I still own two Mustang IIs, although I am using one for parts for the other since aftermarket and restoration supplies are hard to find. Too many people discredit these cars, and it really isn't warranted. They really saved the Mustang model line from certain death. No, I wouldn't think so. That car had numerous problems, and who knows what kind of work the guy did to shoehorn the engine in there. Finding parts will be a nightmare.On the bright side, if you do decide to buy it and keep it maintained, you probably won't lose much value.

to much money fast cars are only for racing your mustang has a changed engine which the valuation goes down unless it's a mustang cobra in 1967 they put in a 409 engine instead of the 289 and the value went up your mustang is in the category of a used car and your asking to much i think more like $2,300 even in 1974 you could get a new mustang for $3,800. R.G.I kinda dought it is as fast as he says it is and even if it did have 325+hp it still would not even be close to low 13's on street tires slicks maybe but not street tires. But if you like the style of the car and it runs and drives good and the body is decent I would say go for it. 302's are not very hard to build up with a little money I'm sure you could get it into the 13's even 12's on slicks.
