Question:
When I turn the steering wheel I get a loud creaking noise as soon as I accelerate. There is no noise if I turn the wheel when slowing or breaking, just as soon as I hit the accelerator (i.e. when coming out of a bend). No problems or noise when going strainght. Anybody got any ideas what it could be? My car is a Audi A6 1.8T SE (52 plate).

On a JDM engine whats a (OBD1) what does it do?
I'd just have it checked by the Dealer or your preferred mechanic. I take it by the engine you listed that the vehicle is a Euro model since that engine is not and has not been available in the US otherwise I could give you some idea of the cost. But, I recently had to have my A6 2.7T Quarto's front right CV joint serviced. I was pleasantly surprised because the total for the servicing was almost $800 US (I was thinking it would be in the thousands by what everyone was telling me) by the dealer and that included practically rebuilding the front right suspension along with an oil change and the dealer even detailed my car for me (boy they have been really great to me!) at no charge.
What do u think of ford mondeo?
But anyway, I suggest you have it looked at ASAP to avoid incurring further damage and bigger cost down the line. Audi's are outstanding cars but like anything that moves it will eventually wear out regardless of how much care you take with it or how well it's built.
