Question:
Anyone have any idea why my temperature control is stuck on heat. I have changed the knob thinking that it was stripped, but that didn't work. Even if I turn on the AC, it still throws out heat.

DISC BRAKES?? ceramic OR Semi-metallic?
first thing to check is the air temp actuator. it's located near the bottom center of the hvac assembly.loosen the two 5.5mm srews and just lower the actuator a bit DO NOT remove it completely, you just want to be able to see if the temp door is moving when you command full cold.
I'm going to say it's not moving . you need to check a few things before you condemn the actuator.
check the hvac fuse in the left instrument panel fuse box , if ok then you have to check power to the actuator brown wire with multimeter 12v check ground at the black wire
you have to have 5v at the grey wire don't forget key in the on position.
their is a lot more to diagnosing this problem, but I think if you check these voltage that I mentioned and they are present , then replace the actuator.
do not plug the new actuator before installing it, otherwise you you will have to buy another one.
the new actuator has to be calibrated
to do this just remove the hvac 1 fuse in the I/P fuse box for 60 seconds, then reinstall .
hope this fixes it
Wot date is the new vw r36 out??
yesIs there any button in a 1995 m-benz c 280 to open all its doors?
there's a valve for the heater hose line that is stuck in the open position. Check the small vacuum line to see if it has come off the valve. Otherwise the valve is probably faulty!More Questions & Answers ...
