Question:
The truck has 105,000 miles on it. Should i change the spark plugs? Or are they those platinum ones that don't need changed...? Also, does my truck use DexCool coolant or just normal green anti-freeze? It has the Vortec 350.

Problems with used 99 New Beetle?
When ever I buy a car I always try to give it a full tune up because you never know how the previous owner treated that vehicle.i would change the plugs and wires and the fluids too you don't know how the last owner treated the vehicle
congrats!...but i think u shud consult a mechanic...the spark plug might be new too..
Pull one or two out and see what the spark tip looks like, if they do not look burt on the end and have a good gray tint to them you should be okay, also if it is running okay and no miss or hesitation you should be okay. I myself like to change them just knowing that they are new and there is one thing I don't have to worry about, but you need to be the judge yourself, got the extra cash go for it.

How can I increased the power of my GLXi Lancer 98?
If the plugs have never been changed, you probably should. Platinum plugs do need to be changed, but they can go a lot further than normal massive electrode spark plugs - the combination of platinum plugs and high output electronic distributors is the reason for the 100,000 mile spark plug replacement recommendations on some recent engines. You probably need the Dex-Cool anti-freeze, but I couldn't tell you for sure. I recommend that you look in your owner's manual, or, if you don't have one, get one (go to www.helmsinc.com, Helms prints them for the manufacturers, and they can supply you with a new one). I also recommend buying a service manual for the vehicle. By the way, you should probably change the oil and filter right away, too, so you know you have new oil, and use a good quality oil, not jus the lowest-priced recycled oil you can find. New spark plugs, new plug wires, new air filter, new oil and filter, etc., along with short oil/filter change intervals (every 2,000 - 2,500 miles) equate to cheap preventive maintenance, especially on a vehicle with over 100,000 miles.does any1 in the US have a peugeot, if so in what region?
If you can ask the previous owner when it was done, and it was within 10,000 miles, you're ok. If you don't know, check the air filter, and see how it looks, if the air filter is dirty, chances are the plugs are too. Since you just got the vehicle, doing a complete tuneup (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel and air filters) won't hurt, and then you'll know exactly where you stand, also, with 105,000 miles, you should have the transmission serviced (if it's an automatic), and the rear end fluid checked. It'll cost you less than $200 to do everything if you do it yourself, and around $250-300 if you take it to a shop. It's not a bad investment if you're going to keep the car. If you don't have the owners manual, you can find one for sale online, or go to your local dealer and order one, that'll give you all the service intervals, fluids to use, etc. Your truck should use the Dexcool, there ought to be a sticker on the coolant tank telling you what to use. If it does have the Dexcool (orange) don't mix it with regular (green) antifreeze. What is the best car for under $25000 and is really fast?

How do i go about putting a fuel pump in a 1988 mustang lx 2.3L auto?
I would find out if they were ever replaced if not go for it platinum plugs all so wear out and sound be changed at around 100000KM all so check the cap and rotor they tend to fuzz up on allot of the older trucks as for the dexcool starting in 95 gm started using it in ever thing they made so ya that is what it should take check the cap on the over flow tank all so if your coolant is down check the lower intake gaskets for coolant leaks they tend to go allot on the vortecsafter i put a K&N airfilter in ym 1994 acura legend, what's the next cheapest way to get horsepower?
Whenever I buy a used vehicle of any kind from anybody the first thing I do is change all the fluids, however if it's running alright I don't p*ss with anything else. The old adage "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" applies here. Can I fit a 22'' rims on my 95 bmw 740il?
As the old saying goes, better safe then sorry. Change the plugs. As for the antifreeze, use what you prefer. Just drain it first before putting anything into it. I have the normal green antifreeze in mine and it works great. I have a 99 Tahoe with the Vortec 350.More Questions & Answers ...
