Jeep Question?
Comparison between the two would clear your doubt, LPG is in liquid state whereas CNG is in gas state, cars run more efficiently on liquid fuel and CNG would completely dry up you engine as it is in gaseous state. CNG cylinders if there is a problem can burst which doesn't happen but there is a very rare possibility, whereas a LPG cylinder would catch fire only if things go wrong which don't, these are just extreme possibilities. It takes few minutes to fill up your LPG tank just like any pertrol car whereas a CNG fitted car takes good 10 to 15 minutes to have your tank full that is the only reason you see a long que of taxis outside CNG gas stations. There is 1 to 2 % of pick-up loss in LPG whereas in CNG fitted cars loss of 18 to 20 % has been noticed. Overall judgment goes in favour of LPG tanks but then it all depends on ones understanding and choice.
