has someone touched the wiring in the past to make you think it is not right? 306 wiring where it passes from the 'a' post into the door becomes broken inside the rubber sheifing pull it back and have a look,if it is you'll have to get a new section of loome which is available from your nearest dealer, its door removal and a big job there can be up to 24 wires to connect depending on your model

You probably have a fault with the wiring harness, as for the bip bip noise, that is the stereo if it is a genuine stereo which I am guessing it is, the noise is because of one of a number of reasons, such as battery being disconnected, stereo being removed and put back in, or a new or second hand Peugeot stereo being fitted. the beeping is because the stereo is not coded correctly you either need to go to your local dealer with the numbers off the stereo, so they can get the code ( they will charge around £25) or see a local specialist.
