Any one who has the 2002 c class,do u know where to find the colour code in the car?

when i went to the paint shop they asked the colour code of the car. is there a exact place where this code is written?my car is mettalic black

that first answer is incorrect. its on a black sticker in the door jamb area. sclass and mclass stickers are on pass side, I believe the smaller mercs its right there when you open the driver door. its a 3 digit number, might have a C before it. black sticker also has other stuff on it. for you, its either 189, Black Opal. or its 197 obsidian Black. both are metallic.
