My friend's, friend say his Talon only has like 97 Hp is this true. It a early model like 1990-1994. Maybe he messed up his turbo and its a manual. IDK

If the vehicle produces 97 hp at the wheels on a dynometer,that translates to approximately 120 hp off the flywheel.I would also have to assume that Mitsubishi,like most other manufacturers,supplies hp figures that are obtained in a lab.I don't know about you,but I seldom drive my car in a closed controlled environment.I have a 1997 nissan won,t start have spark and gas at the out side of gas filter whats wrong?
Wow, unless it is the early non-turbo with the single overhead cam and it needs a tune up, something is very wrong. Just the twin cam non-turbo has at least 122 Hp... It goes up from there with the turbo...According to my sources, (Mitsubishi manual etc.) The 1.8 liter single overhead cam shoud give about 107...Altimas made in TN, are run by Americans or Japanese, wouldnt it be an American car?

Similar in appearance and mechanical details to the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Plymouth Laser, Talons came in three performance levels: two front-wheel drive and one 4-wheel drive. Base models had a 135-horsepower, dual-overhead-cam 4-cylinder engine. A turbocharged and intercooled version of that engine, rated 190 horsepower, went into the TSi. Topping the line, the TSi AWD had both the turbo engine and full-time 4-wheel drive. Base Talons could be ordered with an automatic transmission, but both TSi versions were manual-shift only.
