My oil pressure light flickers on and off while the engine is running and I am at a stop. Recently the light is becoming solid instead of flickering, however it goes out completely once I move the vehicle. What does this sound like to you? My car has 82,000 miles on it.

Your oil pump is not working properly, and needs to be cleaned or replaced. If I had it out to clean it, I would just go ahead and replace it anyway.

Add oil because you car is probably low. the light comes on while you are stopped because the rpms are lower therefore the oil pressure is lower.Is the factory keyless code anywhere in the VIN #?

odds are that your oil pump is getting worn. you should consider replacing it before you experience engine failure.the reason it flickers at an idle is the computer is picking up a low pressure signal. when you pull away from the stop, the pump spins quicker and boosts pressure thus putting out the light. the low pressure at idle is VERY hard on an engine.when i hold the throttle steady in my 86 bmw 528 e it fluctuates, why?
How long ago did you have an oil change? If you put a lot of mileage onyour car, it is recommended that you change the oil and oil filter every 20,000 miles or 25,000 km.Bring it back to your friendly neighborhood oil changer, if you do not take it to the Dodge dealership /service station.
