I had a 1999 Eclipse Spyder GS and they are very good cars, you might want to bring it to a mitsu dealer and see if the safety recall on the lower ball joints were done, it should be free of charge if they need to do them. I also had my top motor freeze (im in mn) other than that they are very good cars. I had no leaks, my gears were fine even with upgrading the clutch. good car.

i own a repair shop,and really there good little cars ,and fun to drive also,,they do as good as any other car,and as far as giving trouble they do that also,just like any other car,but really there no worse or better when it comes to tearing up,if taken good care of they last real good,but you got to take care of them,if you get one that someone has taken good care of it,you,ll probably get a pretty good car,good luck,i hope this help,s.

engine light on + 1998 cavalier?

they look pretty, buy unless its the GTS then its not worth getting it, the synchronizers go bad in the transmission and the engine leaks oil, and it just costs alot to maintain, but if a pretty car is what you want, and you dont mind throwing money at it every couple of months then thats your car. even in the instance of getting a GTS you still have multiple weaknesses with the car despite its tremendous capability for horsepower. so personally i'd say dont get it, get a toyota, honda, or subaru...something foreign, definitly not american unless its brand new. ALSO, with the eclipses you have to look at who owned the car previous to you, bc they were more than likely a 16-22 year old male driver who beat the hell out of it, so...yeah
