Sorry, Fords are good cars, but they develope problems with electric system when sitting too long. 8-9 years is a long time to sit. I doubt you could drive it safely without thinking about the next time it will break down.Has anyone ever installed a turbo on a 1994 toyota pickup?
junk burn itHaving problem with my 1999 VW Jetta?
Depends. If the body is rusted (such as the quarter panels), then no big deal you can always have that taken care of at a body shop, but if the chassis and the under-body of the car are rusted or rotted, it will be a bigger job. It can be done, but it would be a bigger expense. As for whether or not it would break down, my father has a friend who bought a car in 1982, drove it to Washington, and came back to New York. When he came back to the car last year it was fine, and it hadn't been used in all of that time. But then again, it was garaged, so if yours is rusted well, you know... Have it checked professionally. If you think it's worth the cost of repair then go for it. If it's fixed right, I'm sure it won't break down. If you feel it's not worth the money, then obviously buy another car.More Questions & Answers ...
