quadrajet carb on a edelbrock intake?
First eyeball the body lines to see if the door is sagging. If it is, you will need to adjust the hinges or get new ones. Unless your truck has seen a lot of use, this usually is a problem you see on GM trucks instead of fords.Does anyone know of a website where i can view a paint color?
If the body lines are ok, take a look at the striker pin in the door jamb. It should have a plastic sleeve on the part that the door latch hooks on, if it is missing you need a new striker pin. (common problem on fords)
Check the area around the striker pin for cracks or evidence of it being slid. (they are adjustable, up, down, in & out)
i own a repair shop, and it may need door pin bushings put in it ,when these go bad it causes the door to drop a little and it makes hard to shut, and it may have also messed the latch part of up,but these aren't that hard to install and only cost around 8 bucks to do one door ,and this gives you new pins and bushings ,and that should get rid of the shutting and staying shut problem with it,good luck ,i hope this help,s.
Does Su Zuki have a racy sister?
hinges are proabley wore out, cheap fix?, go to the hardware store , buy 1/2 inch washers, take out the bottom bolts where they bolt the latch on to the door , insert washers between hinge and door , this will "pivot" the door upwards and should help the door to close betterMore Questions & Answers ...
