Bank "1" is usually the side that has cylinder #1 ... I'm not a 100% sure.. but I think Cylinder #1 is the first one on the driver side . But the guy above me says passenger side.. I would look at a repair manual and find which cyl is #1. then thats gonna be bank 1. Sorry, it's been a while since I built or worked on a 5.0..hope this helps
