Question:
Since then I sometimes hear a loud grinding/crunchy sound when I step on my brakes. My car has 53,000 miles on it, I never heard any wear indicator before I let them change the pads (the svc man said I didn't have a wear indic ator on my car) When I took it back they lubed the brake pad fit spring, but I still hear that sound now and then.

Nissan 240SX 1991 what are the specs of the car and does it have an LSD and HICAS?
Is the noise coming from the front or back?I have a 96 Mazda 626 that keeps sputtering when I excelerate. How do I fix it?
The back plate has probably been bent a little and it's making contact with the rotor or you have a little rust build up and the new pads are catching it. Take it back again and have them clean any visual rust and make sure back plate is not bent.1993 nissan maxima door key pad lock thingy ahh help.?
Could be the backing plate, Did you go to the dealer or just the cheepest place you could find.Rember the cheep place hires kids out of High School with no traning. I would not want them touching my car.
